8 year old is a very lively girl and talks all the time so trying to get her to give me a small expression was a challenge as she was always talking! I’ve photographed her before in the past and she has changed so much. These pictures of her look great… well done Skye for a fantastic session.
31.03.12 Celebrating a ‘Big’ birthday!
Having been born in St Andrews, the home of golf, in Scotland, it only seemed natural to book a round on my recent birthday. My son Jon and I flew up this week to take on the greatest challenge in golf, the 17th Road hole. The day was fantastic, not a breath of wind and jst full on sun. The course was hard but we both scored particularly well, Jon slightly better than me! Teeing off across the corner of the Hotel on the 17th hole was daunting as on the balconies guests of the hotel were watching avidly to see where all the shots would go. Mine went exactly where it should have gone, ie across the edge of the hotel and onto the middle of the fairway.. Jon’s landed on the roof of the hotel much to the delight of the watching hotel guests!
We both managed to avoid the huge bunker guarding the green but as we were preparing to putt out, across the fairway came a coach load of Japanese tourists who proceeded to photograph and video the bunker! We waited and then putted out to the delight of our new gallery. What a day!
A client was looking for something different as a portrait of their child recently and suggested a beach photograph. When another client wanted a beach shot we combined the 2 into one session on Sandbanks beach. I wanted to create a pastel painting effect that would hang in their homes as not only a portrait of their child but also look like a piece of art. What do you think?
A new craze is beginning to sweep across the country regarding dance school portraiture for babies and toddlers. We’re offering Mums an opportunity to dress their children up in tutus and have a great session in our Broadstone, Poole studio.
See our website for more information on our studio sessions page under Ballet babies
16 year old Lily came into our Broadstone studio on Saturday for a very special shoot. Her Gran, Margaret, organised this as a birthday gift for her. Margaret has 9 grandchildren as as they get to 16 she books each of them into our studio! These are just some of her great images and video…
Lily’s video…
This is the first time that we’ve taken our marketing team out to a Teacher’s conference. This is Jon Fraser, Director at Fraser Portraits in Broadstone working in front of part of our new stand. It was great to see so many Headteachers in one place and we were doing brisk business in discussing some of our great new ideas for school photography. Alan, another of our directors was also on the stand and there seemed to be great competition between them to meet as many heads as possible.
Our new ‘class box group photographs’ were going down a storm much to the chagrin of 2 of our main Hampshire school photography companies that were right alongside us! Hopefully we can persuade many heads to work with us this year. See the ‘NEWS’ section on our website for more news on our BOXES! or call Alan at 01202 692433 for more details
