Memories are of central importance to family life; as children grow and develop from helpless infants to independent adults, memories serve to bridge the chasm between the past and present. Unfortunately, the mind wanes in its capacity to retain information over time, which is why preserving memories in photographic form is so important. Fraser Portraits aims to provide clients with a timeless collection of high-quality images depicting family life – a tangible record of that which the mind sometimes forgets. Through our photography we are able to capture the emotional bonds that exist between family members by manipulating how such feelings manifest in the physical form.
To this end, our studio photo sessions encourage families to remain relaxed at all times; we want to capture images that illustrate comfort, togetherness and love. Family photo shoots are typically conducted in an informal manner, with images produced in various styles, tones and colours, including black and white, sepia and full colour.

We had been using a different photographer to take portraits of our children when they were very young but the images he took were becoming a little too 'predictable' for my taste. We heard great things about Roy's sessions at Fraser Portraits and decided to book our next session with him. We've had a couple of different sessions now and each time we've received some great original and creative designs of both the children and family. I'm looking forward to our next session!
